This Week on the Michele Tafoya Podcast...
I lay on the sofa in the living room for five hours, sobbing uncontrollably.
After suffering multiple miscarriages and feeling like a failure at one of nature’s most basic functions — getting and staying pregnant — I heard that a family member was expecting a child. It was raw, real anguish for me.
Today, I watched the son I finally gave birth to 18 years ago, play his last regular-season high school baseball game. It was Senior Day. Afterward, it was he who shed a few tears knowing he’d never know a team like this one again.
Sitting in the stands with my husband and me today was our 15-year-old daughter, who came into our family through adoption.
For anyone who is suffering through infertility, you CAN build a family.
And then you will watch them grow up fast and turn into adults. And it will have been worth all of the agony.
Now let me tell you about two more of my favorite people, starting with Amala… NOT Kamala.
